New Strategic Plan
The Amistad Center has a new strategic plan!
After several months of research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement our Board of Trustees has developed and adopted a plan that will guide our operations over the next three years. This was a timely labor of love that has resulted in clarity around our strengths and opportunities for improvement and our goals for the future. Some of the words in our mission and vision have changed but our commitment to the art and culture of people of African descent and to serving our community is unwavering.
Highlights of our 2024-2027 Strategic Plan:
To honor, preserve and celebrate in community the art and cultural contributions of all people of African descent.
To be a haven for discovery, reflection, and inspiration.
We complete the story of America through creative expression and inspiring cross-cultural conversations and experiences.
Enhance Community Impact:
Expand Community Access and Engagement
Enhance Education Programs
Animate the Collection and Exhibits
Strengthen Internal Capacity:
Attract Creative, Resourceful and Engaged Leadership
Increase Sustainable Revenue
Enhance Technology Capabilities
Thank you to our community partners who participated in this planning process and many thanks to all of you for your past support and your friendship as we realize our plans for a dynamic future!
