As we recognize and honor the significant sacrifices in service and contributions of veterans, please join us for the premiere of a special and powerful documentary film.

 Voice of Veterans: Buffalo Soldiers and Beyond captures the voices of Connecticut veterans re-counting their experiences as Black Americans in the military, the sacrifice of leaving their families and the pride in service to their country. Highlighting the legacies of the Buffalo soldiers, the film also examines objects from The Amistad Center for Art & Culture’s collection and surveys the contributions of African American military members though guided interviews with veterans.

Followed by a panel discussion
